About Us
Chew Toys For Rescue was founded by passionate dog lovers and shelter volunteers. After witnessing the positive impact of chew toys on anxious shelter dogs, they organized a highly successful chew toy donation drive. Today, Chew Toys For Rescue donates chew toys to shelters nationwide. With your continued support, we aim to expand our reach and help even more rescue dogs find comfort and loving homes.
Our Mission
Every year, 3.1 million dogs enter shelters, and sadly, 390,000 of these dogs are euthanised. Many of these dogs face severe anxiety and stress, leading to destructive behaviours that make it harder for them to find loving homes. Shockingly, 47% of dogs are given up by their pet parents due to behavioural issues. We've discovered that chew toys can mitigate anxiety, helping dogs feel more secure and adaptable.
These toys help reduce stress and destructive behaviours, impacting rescue dogs' lives and improving their adoption prospects. These toys provide a healthy outlet for their natural chewing instincts, keeping them occupied and reducing stress. Donating high-quality, durable chew toys to shelters gives these dogs a sense of comfort and normalcy during a challenging time.
